UCS has been offering Post-Secondary Vocational Education to South Florida students for 21 years.

Our School started classes in December 1999 in the fields of Cosmetology, Barber, Full Specialist, Skin Care, and Nail Technology. Over the years the institution has grown to include an Allied Health school that offers programs such as Nursing, AS, Patient Care Technician and Home Health Aide.

The mission & purpose of Universal Career School is to provide quality education & skills in the student’s chosen field of education through a well-planned curriculum & experienced instructors. Our institution’s main goal is to offer & provide quality education and skills to the career-minded individual producing an employable, responsible individual.


Or barber school program of study is designed to train men and women to become barbers and will provide the students with training which will include sanitation, shampooing, hair styling, hair shaping, hair coloring, permanent waving, hair relaxing, facials, shaving, and Florida State Laws.

Objective
To train and prepare men and women to pass the State Board examination in order to receive a barber’s license and be employed in the barber/hair styling field.

Prerequisites
Proof of High School Diploma or GED. The student must be at least 16 years of age to take the State Board Examination for Barber. The curriculum is based on as many hours of theory and practical instruction as each subject requires in order for the student to obtain the necessary knowledge and skills. It also includes the designated hours for clinical experience and the minimum services necessary to acquire the skills and the experience to perform a professional service.
